Ladies and gentlemen, the Banjo Viola. Or the Viola Banjo. Maybe the Vanjo. So who’s going to be the first to make a joke about banjo-violists? From violinist & violist Max Baillie – in New York he came across this 19th century American instrument which has thick wood in the shape of a mini-cello and a kind of banjo skin across the top. What great sound! Wow, what a unique and wonderful instrument! Also, the amount of snobbery and stereotyping I’m reading in these comments is disgusting. So over banjo jokes and “Appalachia jokes.” Not funny.
